Description
Q976-R32 Self-Drilling Anchor Bit — 76 mm, R32 Thread
The Q976-R32 is a self-drilling anchor bit (anchor button bit) with a 76 mm head diameter and nine spherical tungsten carbide buttons, designed to drill and install R32 self-drilling hollow anchor bars in one operation. It is used for slope stabilization and rockfall protection on highways and railways, foundation pit anchoring, tunnel pipe-umbrella (pipe roof) pre-support, and micropile foundations in loose, fractured or collapsible ground where a casing would otherwise be required. The convex carbide face and a large center flushing hole pass air, water or grout through the hollow bar while drilling, keeping the hole open in unstable formations. The body is forged from heat-treated alloy steel, and the R32 female thread fits standard R32 self-drilling anchor bars and couplers.
Specification
- Model: Q976-R32
- Head diameter: 76 mm
- Thread: R32 (fits R32 self-drilling hollow anchor bars)
- Button count: 9 spherical tungsten carbide buttons
- Face design: convex face with a large center flushing hole
- Body material: heat-treated alloy steel
- Inserts: tungsten carbide
- Compatible system: R32 self-drilling hollow anchor bars, couplers and plate nuts
- Applications: slope stabilization, foundation pit anchoring, tunnel pipe-umbrella pre-support, micropiles, ground anchoring in fractured or collapsible soil
Features
- Drills and installs the anchor in one pass — no casing or pre-drilling needed in loose, fractured ground.
- Nine spherical carbide buttons give balanced face coverage and long service life in hard, abrasive rock.
- Large center flushing hole passes flushing medium or grout through the hollow bar, clearing cuttings and stabilizing the hole.
- Precision-machined R32 thread keeps a firm, low-wear connection to the anchor bar and couplers.
- Forged, heat-treated body withstands high torque and impact loads from hydraulic feed drills.
How to read the Q976-R32 marking
Q — spherical button bit; 9 — number of tungsten carbide buttons; 76 — head diameter in millimetres; R32 — thread type of the connection.
FAQ
Which anchor bars fit this bit?
Standard R32 self-drilling hollow anchor bars (such as R32N / R32S) with the matching couplers. Send us a photo of your bar thread or the worn bit you are replacing and we will confirm the match.
What is the difference between Q976-R32 and Q945-R32?
Both have R32 threads and nine buttons. Q976-R32 is a self-drilling anchor bit (76 mm, center flushing hole) for anchoring and slope support, while Q945-R32 is a drill-jumbo thread button bit (45 mm, flat face) for tunneling and underground mining blast holes.
Can I order other diameters or thread types?
Yes. Anchor bit diameters (51–150 mm), threads (R32, R38, R51, T76) and button layouts are made to order. OEM markings and private-label packaging are available on request.
